Kent Hooper

A pianist since age 4 and self proclaimed nerd, Kent has the rare ability to be equal parts creative and techincal. This unique combination allows Kent to find the voice and sound of each artist he works with, while doing so in a timely manner and on budget. His studio, the house of BIG, is a cutting edge facility in Franklin, TN that provides equal parts comfort and sonic excellence.   Whether you need production, programming, engineering, mastering,  or mixing, Kent would love the opportunity to work with you and help realize your creative vision.

The Studio

Built in 2014, the studio was designed by Dave Rochester of Technical Audio Services and is 20 minutes south of downtown Nashville in the popular Franklin suburb. The large windows in the control room provide great natural light and a beautiful view of the Tennessee Countryside.  Monitoring by ATC.


Music Production

 If you are an artist needing to make an album, EP, or just a single song, let us help find the right treament for your voice.  From simple singer-songwriter treatments to 76 piece orchestral arrangements, we can give your songs and give them the production they deserve.  We can also help with songwriting if necessary.

Mastering

Mastering is the last line of defense before your music is heard by the world - let us polish your final mixes and optimize them for whatever format you plan to release them.  Kent has trained with Vlado Meller, one of the pioneers of mastering.  We are also a MFiT (Mastered For iTunes) certified facility.


 

Mixing

Mixing is to music as editing is to a movie - in the wrong hands all your hard work and efforts can be lost.  With more and more music being recorded in less than professional environments, it's essential to have a proper mix to bring out the essence and emotion of a track.
